I hope we will feel the same way the people of Israel felt at the conclusion of their temple dedication. They "went unto their [homes] joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the Lord had done." (1 Kings 8:66)
We have temples we can visit within a few hours of Redding, where we can pour out our souls to Heavenly Father and receive forgiveness and access to the power of the covenants that we make with Him in those sacred places.
August is Redding Stake's temple month. Our goal is that every member with a valid recommend will make time that month to attend the temple. We also hope that any who desire to qualify for a recommend, will contact their bishop now to make that happen, so they can join us there as soon as possible.
"Now" is a great word. It calls for immediate action. Now is also the time to sit down with your calendar and your family (or friend or ministering brother or ministering sister 🤗) and decide when and where (Medford, Sacramento, Oakland, a temple in the area of your family vacation, etc.) in August you will attend the temple, and make that appointment. Now.
We'd love to hear about your special feelings or experiences as you attend. Text or email me your written thoughts, a short video, or a picture of you or your family and friends at the temple. Let's share with one another the joy we feel when we bind ourselves together with our Savior in His Covenant House.

Espero que nos sintamos de la misma manera que se sintió el pueblo de Israel al concluir la dedicación del templo. Ellos "fueron a sus [casas] gozosos y alegres de corazón por todo el bien que el Señor había hecho". (1 Reyes 8:66)
Tenemos templos que podemos visitar a las pocas horas de Redding, donde podemos derramar nuestra alma al Padre Celestial y recibir perdón y acceso al poder de los convenios que hacemos con Él en esos lugares sagrados.
