Josh Halpenny from the YSA Branch will be entering home MTC on November 18th, preparing to serve in the Utah Ogden Mission. We asked him to share his thoughts about preparing for and serving a mission, along with his testimony. Here are his words and some wonderful pictures of receiving his call and other mission preparations.
"I have wanted to go on a mission since I was in Primary. I've always known it to be an important duty, and I know I will be blessed for it. Some things I've thought about the mission include: how I'll miss my family and my friends, how excited and nervous I am to serve. In order to prepare for my mission I've been reading the scriptures and trying to learn each lesson in Preach My Gospel the best I can.
"My testimony is that going on a mission is a sacrifice but the Lord blesses us for it. The Lord blesses the people we teach on the mission as well. I know it is the Lord's will, and that I have been called to the Utah Ogden mission for a purpose."
Best Wishes Elder Halpenny!
