The language of the gospel is so important to the culture of the gospel. Understanding the words of the gospel language and how they are defined are vital to our eternal progression. What do we do when we come across a phrase or a word that we are not familiar with when we are in the temple or reading the scriptures or conference talk? Do we take notice and do we try to discover it’s true meaning?
For example; I believed that the word stripling meant “really strong” so when reading about the stripling warriors I had in my mind the image of a group of men with bodybuilder-type bodies. But it wasn’t until recently that I discovered the true meaning of the word.

This completely changed my understanding and the significance of the stripling warriors. From this experience I started looking up the meaning of each word I read that I don't understand while studying. Through doing this my testimony and appreciation for the power of God’s work, the scriptures, and the Gospel has grown so much from understanding the words used in the language of the Gospel.

Esto cambió por completo mi comprensión y el significado de los jóvenes guerreros. A partir de esta experiencia comencé a buscar el significado de cada palabra que leo y que no entiendo mientras estudiaba. Al hacer esto, mi testimonio y aprecio por el poder de la obra de Dios, las Escrituras y el Evangelio ha crecido mucho al comprender las palabras que se usan en el idioma del Evangelio.
