One day I was walking to Safeway to buy a drink or chips or something, and there was this man heading in my direction. I noticed that he was reading something and saw that he was holding a Bible in his hand. I approached him (which normally probably wasn’t a good idea) but I had a feeling that I should. I asked him if he was religious and he said that he was not currently, but he used to be a member of our Church. I was surprised at this and told him that I am an active member. He smiled and asked me if I could teach him about it. I told him how I knew that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that through him all things are possible. I also told him how he could gain a testimony simply by having faith that Jesus exists and then building off of that. I told him that he could spread the gospel with his testimony and how he could bring his family and friends into the church.
He then proceeded to ask how he could “enroll” in the church, and I said that he could just come to church on Sunday and talk to the bishop about his records. He smiled, and I smiled. I told him goodbye and right as I started to walk away, he said, “wait”. He asked me if he should throw away his cigarettes and stop smoking and I told him yes. That just filled me with joy to see that.
Once I got back home, I immediately knelt down and said a prayer, blessing that man that he could find his way back to Jesus Christ. I would like to end this by saying that I know Jesus is our Savior, and that we can do anything through Him. I know that this Church is the only church that is fully true. I know that Joseph Smith was the first true prophet of the latter days, and the President Russell M. Nelson is the true prophet today. I know that we can gain and grow testimonies if we just believe and put our faith in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father.

Sé que podemos obtener testimonios y hacerlos crecer si simplemente creemos y ponemos nuestra fe en Jesucristo y en nuestro Padre Celestial.
