Here’s a simple example of how we can “feast upon the words of Christ.”
Doctrine and Covenants, Section 38:8-9
“But the day soon cometh that ye shall see me, and know that I am; for the veil of darkness shall soon be rent, and he that is not purified shall not abide the day.
Wherefore, gird up your loins and be prepared. Behold, the kingdom is yours, and the enemy shall not overcome.”
These two short verses promise incomprehensible blessings, provide assuring hope, a reminder and warning, and advice. Let’s break it down;
- First, Christ is coming soon and we will know it is Him.
- Second, the veil of darkness will be rent.
- Third, if we are not pure we will not be able to stay.
- Fourth, Be prepared.
- Fifth, the kingdom is ours.
- Sixth, the enemy will not prevail.
I am so grateful that I am promised I will know the Savior when He comes. It reminds me of the words penned by Elder James E. Faust:
“With saints of old in joyful cry
I too can testify; This is the Christ
This is the Christ, the holy Son of God
Our Savior, Lord, Redeemer of mankind
This is the Christ, the healer of our souls
Who ransomed us with purest love divine!”

Primero, Cristo vendrá pronto y sabremos que es Él.

En tercer lugar, si no somos puros no podremos quedarnos.
Cuarto, esté preparado.
Quinto, el reino es nuestro.
Sexto, el enemigo no prevalecerá.
Estoy muy agradecido de que se me haya prometido que conoceré al Salvador cuando venga. Me recuerda las palabras escritas por el élder James E. Faust:
