"On behalf of your Stake Presidency, I want to wish you all a very Happy Easter. As we celebrate this season, my thoughts go back to the beginning of the greatest story ever told. I think of angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary that she would “bring forth a son and shall call his name Jesus”. In that miraculous moment, the angel closes with this wonderful promise: “For with God, nothing shall be impossible.”
For me, that is the spirit of Easter. Nothing shall be impossible. As disciples of Christ, we stand to witness the miracle of His resurrection. With Paul we sing out “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”. We bear our testimony of the Living Christ “that His life, which is central to all human history, neither began in Bethlehem nor concluded on Calvary.”
With the words “He is not here: for He is risen”, every child of God is given the gift of hope. Hope that families can be eternal. Hope that loved ones that we have lost are not gone forever. Hope for sweet reunions. Nothing shall be impossible.
Personally, my testimony of the resurrection of the Savior fills my heart with another hope…hope to change, to be clean, and to become more like Him. I know for myself that Christ is our Savior, not just from the inevitable and unavoidable physical death of our bodies, but also from the inevitable spiritual separation that we all experience through sin. In Him, we can find strength and comfort because He knows our burdens. “Worthy is the Lamb” to save.
So, in the same spirit of Gabriel’s message to the world that “with God, nothing shall be impossible”, let’s have faith in Christ and let Him heal us. While we long for the promise of resurrection, let’s reach out right now wherever we find ourselves and ask for His amazing grace and love. I know that if we call out in our personal Gethsemanes, He will run to our aid. Let’s repent every day and then, let’s run as his disciples did on that first Easter morning to love, share, and invite others to come unto Him."

En nombre de su presidencia de estaca, quiero desearles a todos una muy feliz Pascua. Mientras celebramos esta temporada, mis pensamientos se remontan al comienzo de la historia más grande jamás contada. Pienso en el anuncio del ángel Gabriel a María de que ella “dará a luz un hijo, y llamará su nombre Jesús.” En ese momento milagroso, el ángel cierra con esta maravillosa promesa: “Porque nada hay imposible para Dios”.
Para mí, ese es el espíritu de la Pascua. Nada será imposible. Como discípulos de Cristo, nos levantamos para presenciar el milagro de Su resurrección. Con Pablo cantamos “Oh muerte, ¿dónde está tu aguijón? ¿Oh tumba, dónde está la victoria?". Damos nuestro testimonio del Cristo Viviente “que Su vida, que es central para toda la historia humana, no comenzó en Belén ni concluyó en el Calvario”.
Con las palabras “No está aquí, porque ha resucitado”, a todo hijo de Dios se le da el don de la esperanza. Espero que las familias puedan ser eternas. Espero que los seres queridos que hemos perdido no se hayan ido para siempre. Espero dulces reencuentros. Nada será imposible.
Personalmente, mi testimonio de la resurrección del Salvador llena mi corazón con otra esperanza... esperanza de cambiar, de ser limpio y de llegar a ser más como Él. Sé por mí mismo que Cristo es nuestro Salvador, no solo por la inevitable e inevitable muerte física de nuestros cuerpos, sino también por la inevitable separación espiritual que todos experimentamos a causa del pecado. En Él podemos encontrar fortaleza y consuelo porque Él conoce nuestras cargas. “Digno es el Cordero” de salvar.
Entonces, en el mismo espíritu del mensaje de Gabriel al mundo de que “para Dios nada será imposible”, tengamos fe en Cristo y dejemos que Él nos sane. Mientras anhelamos la promesa de la resurrección, acerquémonos ahora mismo dondequiera que nos encontremos y pidamos Su asombrosa gracia y amor. Sé que si clamamos en nuestro Getsemaní personal, Él correrá en nuestra ayuda. Arrepintámonos todos los días y luego, corramos como lo hicieron sus discípulos en esa primera mañana de Pascua para amar, compartir e invitar a otros a venir a Él".
